Carrie Underwood Just Announced a Delayed Tour for the Sweetest Reason — And in the Sweetest Way

The country star explained why her next tour isn't until next year.

Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher are expecting baby number two! The country star announced her pregnancy Wednesday via a series of Instagram videos announcing her next concert tour, which goes on sale next week but doesn't take place until May 2019.

In her third video, the camera widens to show four mylar balloons spelling out "BABY" above as an explanation of why her tour isn't until next year.

"Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding a little fish to our pond!" she said. "This has just been a dream come true with the album and baby news and all that stuff."

Mike Fisher retired from the National Hockey League in 2017 after 17 years of play, which she commemorated with a sweet note that reads in part, "I sure am going to miss watching you play and cheering you on with the rest of Smashville, but I so look forward to seeing what God has in store for you in this next chapter of your life."

Looks like the next chapter has begun. Mazel, Carrie and Mike! Watch her birth announcement, below.
